What's special about 4WetPaws?
A custom built 4.2m x 2.1m x 1.2m deep pool, designed specifically for dogs, heated between 28C and 33C with variable anti swim jets for resistance swimming imported from the UK. This pool accommodates all sizes of dog from Chihuahuas to Great Danes. There are external and internal ramps for easy access into the water. I will be in the pool for every session with every dog no matter how big or small or whatever the reason for swimming, even ‘just for the fun’ swimmers! Dogs are swum individually wearing flotation aids or a harness in most cases and are supervised at all times.
Referred by your Vet?
Please complete 4Wetpaws Client Registration Form and ask your vet to complete the Veterinary Registration Online Form. Your vet must give permission prior to a hydrotherapy session. If you have any questions or queries regarding the client registration form, please either consult your vet or contact Jane. An Animal Physiotherapist may also use the veterinary registration form if they wish to make a referral.
Opportunities for students
4WetPaws has proved to be very popular with student vet nurses and animal care course students on work experience from BOP Polytech Tauranga. School children from a local school made an Award winning video here at 4WetPaws which was promoting canine hydrotherapy to the wider community.
